Steamed Shrimp Dumpling

Cantonese dim sum is delicious

Dim Sum, pronounced dianxin in Mandarin, is a Cantonese term used in Hong Kong and Guangdong province to describe a variety of light refreshments and appetizers served with breakfast and lunch and typically enjoyed with Chinese tea. Examples include dumplings, pork buns, Macau-style egg tarts and congee, a type of rice porridge often eaten for breakfast in Hong Kong. Shrimp, pork and chicken are frequently used as filling for dim sum dumplings. The term literally means "a touch of the heart." Dim sum can be found throughout Hong Kong at prices ranging from less than fast food to gourmet dining.
